Organizing BJU Press Materials

This question comes up all the time. How do I organize my BJU Press Distance Learning?

BJU Press Distance Learning, in my opinion, is designed with flexibility in mind. There are multiple ways to organize and many homeschooling moms like to share their organizational ideas. The teachers provide handouts and worksheets and refer to all kinds of resources for us to tap into from multiple sources. It is up to us to tap into that information the way it works for our family. In our home, we used Distance Learning with four children. Yes, we had a system that worked for us. We used binders, folders, and accordion files. Also, we used paper dividers and file drawers.

All my kids have graduated from our homeschool and college. They have entered into their adult lives more organized and prepared than we ever expected.

So very thankful for the great foundation with BJU Press Homeschool materials.

Do you think distance learning would work with a child with an intellectual disability?

Certainly, Remember you can adjust to work for the child. Don’t feel locked into a pattern or mold. Each child is different and the Distance Learning is a tool. If you need to watch it in sections feel free to do so. Once they have that section move on to the next section. If it takes a few days to get a lesson done that is ok. Set time periods for each subject and when that time is up stop and pick up the next day where you left off. đŸ™‚
